Gabriela Gherman este o tanara de doar 38 de ani, mama a doua fetite
minunate, un dascal desavarsit si o sotie, sora si prietena devotata,
care a fost diagnosticata in 2013 cu
o
forma de cancer cervical cu celule rare si agresive de tip glassy,
incadrat initial la stadiul II B, iar acum, postoperatoriu, cu
diseminari metastatice la plamani.
In 2013 Gabriela a urmat o
cura chinuitoare de chimioterapie, radioterapie si radioterapie locala
(brachyterapy) la Spitalele Elias si Fundeni, iar in ianuarie 2014 s-a
supus operatiei de histerectomie totala.
Datorita faptului ca in timpul
operatiei s-au descoperit si extirpat 46 de ganglioni limfatici, posibil
metastatici, cat si a faptului ca
tumora a fost anevoios extirpata datorita aderentei acesteia de vezica
urinara, evolutia postoperatorie s-a dovedit extrem de problematica si
nefavorabila.
In prezent Gabriela se confrunta cu complicatii
postoperatorii riscante precum insuficienta veno-limfatica, cu risc de
tromboza (unul dintre picioare s-a umflat generand febra de 41 grade
Celsius), hidronefroza bilaterala, cu risc de blocaj renal si cu
afectarea centrilor nervosi ai vezicii urinare.
Desi in toamna
lui 2013 a fost diagnosticata cu cancer II B fara metastaze, prin doua
tomografii toracice, repetate postoperatoriu in februarie 2014, Gabriela
a aflat ca s-au descoperit si determinari secundare la plamani
(metastaze).
Pentru a putea duce lupta mai departe si a invinge
din nou cancerul, Gabriela are mare nevoie acum de suportul nostru
financiar si moral si de toate resursele noastre informationale.
Are
nevoie urgenta de o a doua opinie specializata pentru a intelege cum
poate lupta mult mai eficient cu tumora metastatica de la plaman.

About Gabriela
Gabriela Gherman is a 38-year old mother of two wonderful little girls,
and a committed wife, sister, friend and High School teacher diagnosed
in 2013 with glassy cell carcinoma (GCC) of the uterine cervix
(initially stage II B, which has now metastasized and reached the
lungs), a very aggressive and rare form of cancer, which comprises only
< 1% of all cervical cancers.
After being treated with
a cycle of systemic chemotherapy combined with aggressive radiotherapy
and brachytherapy (internal radioterapy) in two specialised hospitals
from Romania (Fundeni and Elias Hospitals) in the fall of 2013, a
radical hysterectomy was performed in January 2014.
Due to an unexpected
adherence of the tumor to the bladder, and the presence of 46 abdominal
lymph nodes excised during the surgery, the post-surgery evolution has
been unfavorable for Gabriela.
Currently, she is fighting
against a secondary malignant tumor in the lung resulting from
metastasis, and post-surgery complications. These include venous and
lymphatic insufficiency with a high risk of thrombosis (one of the legs
has swollen generating 41 degrees C fever), bilateral hydronephrosis
(the swelling of both kidneys due to a back-up of urine, with a high
risk of kidney failure), and bladder dysfunction.
Gabriela needs
urgently a second specialised opinion on treating the secondary
metastatic lung tumor. She needs our moral, informational and financial
